Osan City Hosts Special Exhibition for 'KSC Units,' the Hidden Heroes of the Korean War
Osan City, Gyeonggi-do, has organized a special exhibition to honor the dedication of the 'KSC (Korean Service Corps) units' that served during the Korean War. This exhibition was planned to inform citizens about the stories of these hidden heroes who sacrificed themselves for the country from behind the scenes amidst the pain of war.
During the Korean War, the KSC units played a crucial role in assisting the U.S. military by transporting military supplies, such as ammunition and food, to the front lines. Although they were not official soldiers, they were a unit composed of civilians who risked their lives on the battlefield for the sake of victory.
This exhibition features items used by the unit members at the time, photographs, and various materials documenting their activities. Through the exhibition, visitors can reflect on the horrors of war and the noble spirit of sacrifice shown by our neighbors who worked to protect peace.
Osan City stated that it hopes this exhibition will serve as an opportunity to properly inform citizens about the history of the Korean War and increase respect for those who dedicated themselves to the country. The exhibition will be held at major exhibition spaces within Osan City, and admission is free for everyone.
This special exhibition demonstrates how important it is for our society to remember history rather than forget it. It is expected that many citizens will show interest and visit this exhibition, where they can meet the hidden protagonists of the Korean War.
