Galsan 2-dong, Bupyeong-gu, Incheon Launches Health Support Project for Vulnerable Groups
The Galsan 2-dong Community Security Council in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, has launched a special sharing initiative to help neighbors in need within the community. This project was organized to protect the health of vulnerable residents who struggle to maintain a proper diet due to financial difficulties.
The council visited elderly individuals living alone and low-income families who have difficulty moving or preparing meals to deliver 'Health Plus' convenience foods and nutritional supplements. Beyond simply providing supplies, they practiced warm neighborly love by checking on the recipients' health status and asking after their well-being.
One resident who received the support expressed their gratitude, stating that it was usually difficult to manage their meals, and that receiving these convenience foods and supplements was a great help. An official from Galsan 2-dong stated that they plan to continue actively identifying and supporting neighbors who fall into welfare blind spots within the region.
In addition to this project, the Galsan 2-dong Community Security Council operates various welfare programs and strives to solve community issues on its own. It is hoped that these small acts of sharing will come together to create an environment where our neighbors can live healthier and happier lives.
