Seongnam City Partners with Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization to Create 'Advanced Bio-Health Cluster'
Seongnam City has decided to join forces with the Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization (KoreaBIO) to foster the bio-health industry, a future growth engine. The two organizations signed a business agreement to transform Seongnam City into a world-class advanced bio-health cluster.
Through this agreement, Seongnam City plans to establish a support system so that bio-companies can conduct research and grow in a stable environment. The Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization intends to strengthen networks between companies and operate various programs to attract top-tier bio talent to Seongnam City.
Furthermore, taking this cooperation as an opportunity, Seongnam City plans to actively attract companies related to the bio-industry and expand infrastructure for the development of related technologies. Through this, it is expected that Seongnam City will establish itself as a hub for the bio-industry representing the Republic of Korea.
Meanwhile, ahead of the recent Chuseok holiday, Seongnam City conducted safety inspections on 10 multi-use facilities, including large supermarkets and train stations, to ensure the safety of its citizens. As a result of the inspections, a total of 78 violations, such as the construction of illegal storage areas in stairwells, were uncovered and corrective measures were issued.
Seongnam City plans to continue its efforts to develop the bio-health industry and create a safe living environment for its citizens. This agreement and the safety inspections are expected to have a positive impact on Seongnam City's economic growth and the improvement of its citizens' quality of life.
