Spain eliminates health controls for non-EU travelers
The Government of Spain has announced a significant update to the country's entry regulations. Starting October 21, passengers arriving from countries outside the European Union will no longer be required to present certificates or health documents related to COVID-19.
This measure seeks to fully normalize the flow of travelers at Spanish airports. Until now, citizens from nations such as Venezuela and other countries outside the European space had to comply with specific health requirements to be able to enter national territory.
With this change, the health controls that were implemented during the pandemic are officially abolished. Authorities have confirmed that international travelers will be able to enter Spain without the need to show proof of vaccination, recovery certificates, or negative diagnostic test results.
The decision responds to the improvement of the epidemiological situation globally and the desire to facilitate tourism and international travel. This update simplifies bureaucratic procedures for millions of people planning to visit Spain in the coming months.
It is recommended that all travelers, even though health controls are no longer necessary, consult the general entry conditions and current visa requirements according to their nationality before undertaking their trip.
