Pamplona becomes the center of European tourism to boost off-season travel
The city of Pamplona has been chosen this year as the host for the "Spain Travel Market Europe 2026" event. This professional gathering brings together 72 travel agents and tour operators from various European countries, along with 69 Spanish companies from the tourism sector.
The main objective of this initiative, organized by Turespaña, is to promote Spanish destinations beyond the summer months. Authorities are thus seeking to combat seasonality, allowing tourism to be a stable source of income throughout the year and not just during the high season.
During the event, European representatives have the opportunity to experience firsthand the cultural, gastronomic, and natural offerings of different regions of Spain. This direct exchange facilitates the creation of new tour packages that attract international visitors in autumn, winter, and spring.
In addition to promoting tourism in lesser-known areas, the event aims to diversify the places visited by foreigners. By showcasing varied options throughout the national territory, the goal is to reduce pressure on the most saturated destinations and offer a more authentic experience to travelers.
In conclusion, the Spain Travel Market Europe 2026 represents a strategic commitment for the sector. Through this collaboration between international agents and local companies, Spain reinforces its position as an attractive and sustainable destination, capable of offering quality experiences at any time of the year.
