POLITICO strengthens its presence in Spain with a new editorial team
The international media outlet POLITICO has recently announced the creation of its first editorial team dedicated exclusively to Spain. This strategic move seeks to expand news coverage of the country's politics and current affairs, consolidating the brand's presence in the European market.
To lead this new project, the company has appointed Ángel Villarino as senior editor. Villarino has an extensive background in national journalism and will be responsible for directing the content strategy and editorial line of the team in Madrid.
Joining him, Enrique (Kike) Andrés-Pretel joins as deputy editor. Both journalists will work on the launch of the new 'Madrid Playbook' edition, a newsletter that will offer detailed analysis of the most relevant political issues in the Spanish capital.
With these hires, POLITICO seeks to offer a deeper perspective on Spain's influence within European institutions. This new team is expected to begin publishing its first content in the coming months, bringing a new approach to the Spanish media landscape.
