Digi plans IPO & audiovisual investment
The operator Digi is preparing its IPO to finance its expansion while the Government details new investments for the audiovisual sector. Additionally, the European Space Agency is opening the calendar for its 2026 visits, and the music industry is analyzing the impact of artificial intelligence on digital consumption.
Users of Digi Spain, a Romanian-born operator with a large customer base in Spain, will see changes in the company's structure ahead of its upcoming IPO. The company plans to carry out a Public Subscription Offering (PSO) —a process to sell shares to the public for the first time— with the goal of raising 150 million euros. These funds will be used to sustain its growth and manage its current debt after consolidating itself as one of the main telephony and internet providers in the country.
In the field of public investment, professionals in the audiovisual sector have new support allocations through the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT). This public entity manages the investments of the "Spain Audiovisual Hub" plan, which uses European funds from the Recovery Plan to modernize technology and improve the competitiveness of content production companies in Spain.
For those interested in science, the European Space Agency (ESA) is already allowing reservations for its 2026 "Open Days." These events offer the opportunity to visit the agency's facilities and learn firsthand about the space research projects in which Spain participates.
Regarding the digital environment, the music sector is experiencing content saturation with 75,000 daily songs generated entirely by artificial intelligence reaching streaming platforms, affecting their 100 million users. At the same time, a report by the IAB Spain association predicts profound changes in customer service on social media over the next two years, which will modify the direct interaction between brands and citizens.
