The Popular Party criticizes Fegamp for its stance on the demonstrations in Ceuta
The Popular Party (PP) has recently expressed its dissatisfaction with the Galician Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (Fegamp). The reason for this dispute is the organization's decision to distance itself from the demonstrations called by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) in support of the autonomous city of Ceuta.
According to PP representatives, this decision was made unilaterally by the Fegamp leadership. The party has pointed out that this position does not reflect the necessary consensus on issues of national relevance and has harshly criticized the president of the Galician federation for his handling of this matter.
The demonstrations referred to by the PP were organized by the FEMP with the aim of showing solidarity with Ceuta following the recent events that have affected the city. For the Popular Party, it is essential that all institutions maintain a common position in the face of situations that compromise the stability of Spanish territory.
For the moment, Fegamp has not issued a detailed official response regarding the accusations received. In the meantime, the political debate continues in Galicia, where the different municipal groups are analyzing the consequences of this lack of agreement between local and national organizations.
