Escribano’s research center in Avilés to participate in European defense programs
The Madrid-based company Escribano Mechanical & Engineering (EM&Y) has announced a major expansion of its research and development (R&D) center located in Avilés, Asturias. For the first time, these facilities will participate in European defense programs, representing a significant step forward for the company and the region's technological industry.
Due to this new international project, the company plans to increase its workforce in the Asturian city. The main objective is to strengthen the team of engineers and specialists to meet the demanding standards of European Union projects. This expansion will create new opportunities for skilled employment in the area.
Work at the Avilés center will focus on highly advanced technological areas critical to security. Researchers will work on the development of infrared systems and new forms of secure communication between different armies. These advances are fundamental for modern military coordination.
Additionally, another of the most important lines of research will be the creation of systems to neutralize artillery attacks. These technologies aim to improve the protection of troops and infrastructure in conflict situations, using technical innovation to save lives and increase defensive effectiveness.
With this initiative, Escribano consolidates its position as a relevant player in the defense sector at the European level. The investment in research and development in Avilés demonstrates the company's commitment to innovation. In the future, these projects are expected to contribute significantly to the modernization of security systems across the continent.
