Eight young talents from the Valencian Community to compete in the vocational training Olympics in Shanghai
Eight young students from the Valencian Community have been selected to be part of the national team that will represent Spain in the upcoming edition of WorldSkills, which will be held in Shanghai in 2026. This event, known globally as the "vocational training Olympics," brings together the best technical talent from around the planet to demonstrate their skills in various professional disciplines.
Those selected have passed a rigorous process of regional and national tests, where they demonstrated their technical excellence and ability to work under pressure. These young people will compete in a wide variety of areas, ranging from industrial technology and robotics to hospitality services and design, representing the high level of technical education provided in the region's vocational training centers.
Participation in this international championship is a unique opportunity for the students, as it allows them to measure their competencies against professionals from other countries and establish contacts in the global labor market. Furthermore, the Spanish team has the support of experts and teachers who will work intensely with them over the coming months to perfect their techniques and strategies ahead of the competition in China.
The success of these young people highlights the importance of vocational training in Spain as a key pathway for quality employment and industrial innovation. The preparation for Shanghai 2026 is not only a personal challenge for the students, but also a recognition of the efforts of Valencian educational centers to adapt their teaching to current technological needs.
With this selection, Spain reaffirms its commitment to the development of young talent and technical excellence. The next two years will be fundamental for the Valencian representatives to prepare at the highest level, with the goal of flying the Spanish flag as high as possible on this prestigious international stage.
