Multinational company Corteva will split into two companies starting in October
The US multinational Corteva, which has around 400 employees in Asturias, will split into two companies starting in October. The company operates in the Tamón valley industrial complex in Carreño and is part of the group of companies that emerged from the DuPont environment.
According to the published information, Corteva will separate its crop protection business from its seed-related activity. As a result of this reorganization, one of the new companies will be called Vylor. The change is part of a business decision to differentiate the two main areas of its operations.
The measure affects a company with a significant presence in Asturias due to the number of workers it has in the region. The Tamón valley complex is one of the industrial centers linked to the multinational's activity in Spain.
For the time being, the known information focuses on the company's future structure and the creation of the two companies. The split will take effect in October, when Corteva will stop operating in its current format and will begin carrying out its activity through two separate companies.
This reorganization represents a significant change for the company in Asturias, where it maintains hundreds of jobs. The progress of the process and its specific effects on local activity will become known in greater detail as the planned separation advances over the coming months.
