Pedro Sánchez congratulates the Prime Minister of Armenia following his electoral victory
The Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, has sent an official message of congratulations to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan. This diplomatic gesture follows the recent victory of the Civil Contract party in the parliamentary elections held in the Caucasian country.
The party led by Pashinyan achieved a favorable result at the polls, which will allow him to remain at the head of the Armenian Executive for the coming years. With this message, the Spanish Government recognizes the results of the democratic process experienced in Armenia and reaffirms the importance of international relations between both countries.
Although Armenia is geographically far from Spain, maintaining good diplomatic relations is a priority for Spanish foreign policy. Recognizing election results is a standard practice in diplomacy to foster political stability in other regions of the world.
For the moment, no new bilateral agreements have been announced following this congratulation. The Government of Spain remains focused on its national agenda, while maintaining its commitment to continue collaborating with its international partners within the framework of the European Union and other global organizations.
