The Government defends its housing management and responds to criticism from its partners

The Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, has recently defended the Government's management in relation to the project known as Casa 47. Faced with criticism received from its parliamentary partners, Sumar and Podemos, the minister has reaffirmed the Executive's commitment to current housing policies.

During her statements, Rodríguez rejected the accusations from her political allies, describing them as the result of "absolute ignorance" regarding the operation and objectives of this project. The minister maintains that the criticism does not reflect the reality of the plans that the Ministry is carrying out to improve access to housing in Spain.

In addition to defending the Casa 47 project, the head of Housing took the opportunity to announce new Government plans. The Executive plans to increase the supply of public housing in the coming months with the aim of easing pressure on the real estate market and helping citizens who have the greatest difficulty accessing a home.

This situation highlights the existing tensions within the bloc supporting the Government. While the PSOE defends its current strategies, its coalition and parliamentary support partners continue to demand more forceful measures and changes in the direction of the country's housing policies.

The Ministry of Housing has insisted that its priority remains compliance with the Housing Law and the construction of new housing units. In the coming weeks, the Government is expected to present more details on these new public investments in an attempt to calm the political debate and offer concrete solutions to the public.
