Castilla y León invests two million euros to modernize the restoration of its heritage
The Regional Government of Castilla y León has completed the remodeling and expansion works of the Center for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property. This significant project involved an investment of nearly two million euros. The main objective of this renovation is to adapt the facilities to the technological needs of the 21st century.
The acting Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Sports, Gonzalo Santonja, recently visited the center to inaugurate the new spaces. During his tour, Santonja expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the works. According to the minister, the center now has the necessary means and technology to perform high-quality work in the protection of art.
The new facilities allow professionals to work with greater precision in the recovery of historical pieces. Thanks to this investment, experts have access to larger laboratories and advanced tools. This facilitates the study, cleaning, and repair of paintings, sculptures, and other objects of great cultural value for the region.
This center is a fundamental piece for the maintenance of historical heritage in the autonomous community. With this renovation, the regional government ensures that cultural assets will be well cared for over the coming decades. Technology and knowledge now come together to preserve the past of Castilla y León in a more efficient and professional way.
