Colmenar Viejo celebrates a day dedicated to animal adoption
The Madrid town of Colmenar Viejo is organizing a special event this weekend dedicated to animal adoption. The initiative seeks to raise awareness among citizens about the importance of responsible pet ownership and to offer a second chance to dogs and cats currently in shelters.
The event will take place throughout the day, with uninterrupted hours from 11:00 in the morning until 9:00 at night. Attendees will be able to learn firsthand about the work carried out by animal associations and shelters, which will be present to provide information on adoption processes and the care required for the animals.
In total, more than 25 shelters and rescue organizations will participate in this fair. Each of these organizations will present the animals looking for a new home, allowing those interested to interact with them and receive professional advice on which pet best suits their lifestyle and family environment.
In addition to encouraging adoptions, the main objective of the day is to promote animal welfare and educate the public about the commitment involved in integrating an animal into the family. The organizers expect high participation from residents of the area and other parts of the Community of Madrid.
