Renault to boost electric car manufacturing in Spain with a multi-million euro investment
The automotive company Renault has announced a major strategic decision that will mark a turning point for its production in Spain. For the first time in its history, the company will manufacture fully electric vehicles at its Spanish plants, thereby consolidating its commitment to sustainable mobility in the domestic market.
This project will be made possible thanks to an investment of 600 million euros. With this capital injection, Renault seeks to modernize its facilities and adapt its assembly lines to meet the technological standards necessary for the creation of next-generation electric cars.
The company's strategy is centered around 'Ampere', its new division dedicated exclusively to the development and production of electric vehicles and software. This initiative not only reinforces Spain's position within the brand's European industrial network, but also guarantees job stability in the automotive sector for the coming years.
The transition to electric vehicles is a priority for the European industry, and this investment places Spanish factories at the heart of this change. With this step, Renault hopes to improve its competitiveness and respond to the growing demand from drivers seeking more ecological and efficient transport alternatives.
