Swedish Gambling Authority stops gambling companies without a Swedish license
The Swedish Gambling Authority has made a decision to prohibit the company Twocent Technology Limited from offering gambling services to Swedish consumers. The decision is based on the fact that the company lacks the necessary license required to conduct gambling operations in the Swedish market.
According to the Swedish Gambling Act, all operators targeting Swedish players must have approval from the authority. The purpose of the licensing requirement is to ensure that gambling companies comply with Swedish regulations regarding safety, responsible gambling, and consumer protection.
The Swedish Gambling Authority continuously monitors the market to identify operators acting without a permit. When a company violates the rules, the authority can issue a prohibition to protect Swedish players from unregulated gambling environments.
The decision means that Twocent Technology Limited must immediately cease its operations targeting Sweden. The authority is now continuing its work to ensure that the prohibition is complied with and that no unauthorized gambling is offered to the public.
