Hankook begins European production of tires for heavy vehicles
Tire manufacturer Hankook has reached an important milestone in its European operations. The company now announces that it is, for the first time, beginning the production of tires for trucks and buses directly on European soil.
The investment is taking place at the company's factory in Rácalmás, Hungary. To enable this new production, Hankook has made a substantial investment of 540 million euros. The factory has been expanded and adapted to meet the increased demand for heavy vehicle tires within Europe.
The decision to move production closer to European customers is strategic. By manufacturing the tires locally, the company hopes to shorten delivery times and reduce transport costs.
