Swedish Engcon launches new technology for forestry work
The Swedish company Engcon has unveiled a new product designed to facilitate work for forest machine operators. The new equipment is a so-called finger grapple, a tool mounted on excavators to handle various types of material in the forest.
According to the company, the new design is inspired by a traditional timber grapple, but with one important difference. The new model is equipped with four claws, which gives the operator a significantly more stable and secure grip on the material.
The tool is specifically developed to handle brushwood and similar vegetation. Thanks to the improved design, it becomes easier to clear land and move branches, which is a common task in forestry and site preparation in Sweden.
This innovation is an example of how the Swedish manufacturing industry continues to develop specialized tools to make forestry work more efficient. The new finger grapple is expected to be a useful addition for contractors working with both forestry and ground construction.
