Sweden prepares for the classic Finnkampen in Helsinki
This weekend it is time for the classic athletics international match Finnkampen between Sweden and Finland. This year's competitions will take place at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki on Saturday and Sunday, August 29–30.
Sweden enters the competition with the goal of achieving a double victory, meaning that both the women's and men's teams win their respective matches. However, the preparation has been challenging for the Swedish team due to several significant withdrawals of key figures from the squad.
Despite the setbacks, expectations are high for the meeting. Finnkampen is one of the most prestigious competitions for Swedish athletes and attracts great attention from both the public and the media every year.
For those who wish to follow the competitions from afar, there are good opportunities. Finnkampen will be broadcast live in its entirety via SVT and Radiosporten, making it easy for sports enthusiasts to follow the developments directly from Helsinki.
