Swedish candy giant grows through international acquisition
The Swedish candy group Orkla Snacks, which owns the factory for Bubs in Jönköping among other things, now announces that they are expanding their operations. The company has chosen to acquire the Dutch candy manufacturer The European Candy Group.
Through this acquisition, Orkla Snacks strengthens its position in the European market. The purchase means that the group gains access to new production capabilities and a broader customer base outside of Sweden's borders.
For the Swedish operations in Jönköping, the deal is part of a larger investment in growth. Orkla Snacks hopes that the collaboration with the Dutch company will lead to more efficient processes and new opportunities for their brands.
