New drone center opens in Malmö
In Malmö, a new drone center has recently opened its doors. It is a place where one can test and practice with drones manufactured in Sweden. The center is located in an old tobacco factory and was started by three people who work as part-time military personnel in their daily lives.
The three founders decided to start the project because they felt that development within the Swedish defense was moving too slowly. Instead of waiting for official decisions from authorities, they chose to take matters into their own hands. Their goal is to create an environment where new technology can be tested quickly and efficiently.
Drones have become a very important part of modern defense and security. By having its own test center in Sweden, the technology can be developed without having to rely on other countries. This makes it easier for Swedish companies to showcase their inventions and for pilots to train in a controlled environment.
The old factory in Malmö offers large spaces that are perfectly suited for flying drones indoors. The focus is entirely on Swedish-built technology and innovation. The founders hope that the center will become an important meeting place for both military personnel and civilian companies working with the aviation technology of the future.
This initiative shows how private individuals with a military background can contribute to Sweden's security through their own ventures. The center in Malmö is now ready to play an important role in the development of Swedish drone technology in the coming years.
