Swiss industry prepares for the 2026 “Power-to-X” congress
The Swiss industry is increasingly focusing on sustainable energy solutions. In 2026, a significant congress on the topic of “Power-to-X” will take place in Switzerland, critically examining the goal of climate neutrality (“Net Zero”).
The event will address the question of how electricity from renewable sources can be converted into other forms of energy, such as hydrogen or synthetic fuels. These technologies are considered a crucial building block for reducing the Swiss economy's dependence on fossil fuels.
The industry association Swissmem is organizing the congress to bring together experts from research and industry. The aim is to take a realistic look at the technical possibilities and economic challenges that lie on the path to a climate-neutral future.
To enable broad participation, the congress will be held bilingually in German and French. In addition, simultaneous interpretation into English will be provided to promote international exchange.
The event underscores Switzerland's efforts to take a leading role in the energy transition. The congress offers an important platform for planning the next steps for a sustainable industrial future in Switzerland.
