Donald Trump in Switzerland: Visit to Zurich and Davos
Former US President Donald Trump has landed at Zurich Airport. His visit to Switzerland is focused on international political discussions. This afternoon, Trump will deliver a speech that is being eagerly awaited by observers worldwide.
A central topic of his visit is the US stance on Greenland. This positioning is attracting international attention and raising questions about future cooperation within NATO. Experts are currently debating intensely what impact Trump's statements might have on the stability of the defense alliance.
The visit is taking place in a politically sensitive environment. As the US is the most important partner within NATO, every statement by the former president carries significant weight for global security policy. Developments are also being closely monitored in Switzerland, as the country serves as neutral ground for such diplomatic encounters.
The speech this afternoon will show how Trump defines his foreign policy goals for the future. For the international community, it remains to be seen whether his words will strengthen transatlantic relations or create new challenges for the alliance.
