Money and Health: These are the Greatest Concerns in 2026
A new study by Allianz shows that people's priorities are shifting worldwide. For the first time, financial worries are just as significant as fears regarding one's own health. Both topics occupy around 48 percent of respondents. In Switzerland, too, many people are feeling this pressure due to rising everyday costs.
Inflation and higher prices for energy and rent are key reasons for this development. While health was often the top priority in the past, money has now become an equal concern. Many Swiss people are increasingly wondering how they can maintain their standard of living in the future.
Alongside money and health, there is a third major concern: the future in general. Approximately 35 percent of people look toward the coming years with uncertainty. This is often due to the global political situation or rapid changes in the professional world. The study highlights that the psychological burden caused by these issues is increasing globally.
Experts recommend addressing personal financial planning and retirement provision early on. In a country like Switzerland, where the cost of living is traditionally high, sound planning is particularly important. Despite financial concerns, health remains a central topic that is closely linked to personal well-being.
