Raiffeisen Switzerland issues new 500 million euro bond
The Swiss banking group Raiffeisen has successfully placed a new bond on the financial market. The company announced that it has issued a so-called bail-in bond worth 500 million euros.
This specific type of bond refers to financial instruments designed to contribute to stabilization in the event of a bank's financial distress. They serve to strengthen the institution's capital base and meet regulatory requirements regarding bank stability.
The bond carries an interest rate, known as a coupon, of 4.255 percent. The maturity of the security has also been set, with the bank continuing to pursue its long-term financing strategy through this move.
For Raiffeisen, this step is an important part of its ongoing capital planning. By issuing such bonds, the bank ensures that it will continue to have sufficient financial resources in the future to support its customers and comply with the legal requirements for Swiss banks.
