Serious traffic accident in Tuggen: Road closed for hours
A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuesday in Tuggen in the canton of Schwyz. For reasons yet to be determined, a female driver collided with a truck. The woman sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash.
Following the accident, the Linthstrasse had to be closed to all traffic. The closure lasted until late into the night as the police conducted extensive investigations at the scene and the site had to be cleared.
Emergency services were on site with a large contingent to provide care for the injured person and to document the sequence of events. Police specialists are now investigating the exact course of the incident to clarify the cause of the collision.
The Linthstrasse was not reopened to traffic until shortly before midnight. The authorities are asking witnesses who observed the accident to contact the Schwyz Cantonal Police.
