Switzerland to host the European Political Community summit in 2027
Switzerland is facing a significant diplomatic event: in April 2027, the country will host the 10th summit of the European Political Community (EPC). This was officially announced by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).
Heads of state and government from across Europe are expected to attend this meeting in Zurich. The EPC is a platform for political dialogue and cooperation on the European continent. The goal of the format is to promote security, stability, and prosperity in Europe.
The choice of Switzerland as the host country underscores the nation's active role in European foreign policy. By organizing the summit, Switzerland provides an important stage for exchange between European states, including those beyond the borders of the European Union.
Preparations for this event have already begun. The city of Zurich will play a central role in the logistical and organizational planning as the host venue. The meeting is considered one of the most important diplomatic events to take place in Switzerland in the coming years.
