Swiss stock exchange closes with slight losses
The Swiss Market Index (SMI) ended Thursday's trading session with a slight decline. The leading index lost 0.1 percent, or 18 points, to close at 14,368 points. Overall, the Swiss stock market remained stable, even though there were significant movements in individual stocks.
Swiss Re and Richemont shares were under particular pressure on Thursday. Swiss Re recorded a decline of 1.3 percent. Luxury goods manufacturer Richemont also had to accept share price losses, which weighed somewhat on the mood within the SMI.
