Swiss Energy Future: Congress on Power-to-X Planned for 2026
The Swiss industry is preparing for the technological challenges of the energy transition. The industry association Swissmem has announced a major congress on the topic of "Power-to-X" for the year 2026. This focuses on the conversion of renewable electricity into other energy carriers such as hydrogen or synthetic fuels.
The goal of the event is to take a realistic look at the "net-zero" target. Experts from business and science will discuss how these technologies can be efficiently implemented in Switzerland. The congress aims to help assess the current state of technology and identify potential obstacles on the path to climate neutrality.
The event is aimed at a broad professional audience. To promote exchange between the various language regions of Switzerland, the congress will be held bilingually in German and French. In addition, simultaneous interpretation in English will be offered to include international guests and experts as well.
With this initiative, Swissmem underscores the importance of innovation for Switzerland as an industrial location. The development of sustainable energy solutions is considered a decisive factor in securing the long-term competitiveness of Swiss companies while simultaneously achieving national climate goals.
