SMI closes the trading day with gains
The Swiss stock market (SMI) was able to end Wednesday's trading day with a positive result. While international stock exchanges in the US also showed friendly trends, the Swiss benchmark index recorded a pleasing increase.
Shares of Kühne+Nagel and Logitech performed particularly strongly, placing themselves at the top of the winners. The food corporation Nestlé was also able to gain significantly and contributed significantly to the positive sentiment in the market.
However, not all companies benefited from the current market situation. While some sectors gained, construction stocks came under selling pressure. In addition, Swissquote shareholders had to accept a significant price decline, which dampened the mood for this stock.
A look at the international markets shows a similar picture: The American Dow Jones recently rose by 0.3 percent, while the S&P 500 recorded a gain of 0.7 percent. The technology-heavy Nasdaq 100 was also able to expand its gains.
In summary, it can be said that the Swiss market was able to benefit from the generally positive international development despite individual losers. Investors are now watching with interest to see whether this upward trend will continue in the coming days.
