Severe weather warning: Heavy thunderstorms moving across Switzerland today
Switzerland must prepare for unsettled weather today. Meteorologists are warning of heavy thunderstorms that will move across large parts of the country throughout the day.
The weather situation will bring more than just heavy rainfall. There is also a risk of hail and strong gale-force winds, which could cause localized problems. The authorities are therefore advising the public to exercise increased caution.
Residents in the affected regions, in particular, should park their vehicles in garages if possible and secure loose objects outdoors. Disruptions are also to be expected in road traffic due to poor visibility and wet road surfaces.
Weather services are monitoring the situation closely and are updating their warnings continuously. It is recommended to follow local weather reports and news to stay informed about the current developments in your own region.
