Taiwanese start-ups seek European partners at IFA Berlin
At this year's IFA in Berlin, one of the world's most important trade fairs for consumer electronics, the focus was particularly on the innovative power coming from Asia. Taiwan presented itself with its own national pavilion, where a total of twelve start-ups showcased their latest technological developments.
The "Taiwan Startup Terrace" initiative used the trade fair from September 4th to 8th to promote exchange between Taiwanese young companies and European firms. The goal of the appearance was to lay the foundation for new collaborations in the areas of hardware, software, and digital solutions.
For the European market, which also includes Switzerland, these partnerships offer new opportunities. Many of the Taiwanese start-ups specialize in forward-looking technologies that could be of interest to European industry. During the fair, several agreements were already signed that are intended to strengthen the transfer of technological knowledge between Taiwan and Europe.
IFA Berlin remains a central meeting point for international innovations. Even though the focus is on global trends, such collaborations show how closely markets work together in a connected world. For Swiss companies, the new contacts from Taiwan could lead to exciting joint projects in the coming years.
