Drugs worth 1.5 million euros seized in the tenth and seventh district
Austrian police conducted two raids in the "Favoriten" and "Neubau" districts of Vienna, where a large quantity of drugs worth approximately 1.5 million euros was seized.
The beginning was when police officers observed a suspected drug sale on Mentergasse street in the "Neubau" area. The suspect, who does not have legal residency in the country, was placed under surveillance, and during this time several sales of cocaine and heroin were documented. Immediately after the purchase, the four buyers were arrested, consisting of three Austrians and a citizen from North Macedonia, aged between 31 and 38, and the drugs were confiscated from them.
In early June, police arrested a 46-year-old Serbian man after closely monitoring him. He was stopped inside the car of a suspected buyer, and several bags of cocaine and heroin, along with a large sum of cash, were found in his possession.
Under instructions from the public prosecutor's office in Vienna, two apartments in the districts of 'Favoriten' and 'Neubau' were raided, during which approximately 10 kilograms of cocaine, 73 kilograms of marijuana, 52.9 grams of heroin, and a cash amount of 9,940 euros were seized.
The main suspect, a 46-year-old Serbian, has been placed in jail by a decision of the public prosecutor in Vienna.
