Department of Health partners with Lion to launch the 2nd year of the “Thai Children, Good Teeth” project, focusing on youth oral health
The Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, in collaboration with Lion (Thailand) Co., Ltd., has announced the continuation of the “Thai Children, Good Teeth” project for its second year to further improve the oral and dental health of Thai children nationwide. This project focuses on building a foundation for good health from childhood to reduce the incidence of tooth decay and oral diseases that may occur in the future.
The core of this year's project is to expand opportunities for children to access preventive dental services more thoroughly. Activities include providing education on proper brushing techniques, choosing appropriate products, and conducting basic oral health screenings to ensure Thai children maintain good hygiene and have bright smiles.
Beyond dental check-ups, the project emphasizes building cooperation between the public and private sectors to establish sustainable health behaviors among youth. It is believed that instilling oral care habits early on will help reduce medical expenses and improve the long-term quality of life for Thai children.
The implementation of the second year marks a significant step in driving national oral health policy. The project expects that these activities will encourage parents and educational institutions to place greater importance on children's dental care, thereby creating a strong foundation for oral health for the next generation.
