Innobic partners with TISTR to develop Thai probiotic strains, aiming to improve public health
Innobic (Asia) Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), has announced a significant partnership to elevate research on Thai probiotic strains for practical use in public healthcare.
This collaboration focuses on the development of “Functional Probiotics,” or microorganisms with specific health-promoting properties. Researchers aim to create new health solutions tailored specifically to Thai people, bridging the gap between laboratory research and everyday application.
The primary goal of this project is to utilize probiotics as part of the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, which are currently among the top health concerns for both Thais and people worldwide.
The development of these Thai probiotic strains will not only help reduce the importation of supplements from abroad but also support the sustainable growth of the domestic health innovation industry, with an emphasis on international production standards and high safety levels.
In the future, this research will be extended into accessible health products, providing Thais with the opportunity to access quality nutritional innovations. This will serve as a crucial step in enhancing the quality of life and well-being of people in Thai society.
