Survey reveals over 66% of Thais believe AI will best improve their lives and work, ranking highest among OECD countries
The Office of the National Digital Economy and Society Commission (ONDE) has released the 'Thailand Digital Outlook' survey report, which gathered opinions from over 46,810 people across Thailand regarding the current digital transformation.
The survey results revealed an interesting finding: 66.8% of Thais believe that Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology will have a positive impact on their daily lives and work. This figure is the highest among the 23 member countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
At the same time, the survey indicated that approximately 31.56% of the population holds a different perspective, viewing the arrival of AI technology as potentially having impacts in other areas. This data reflects the alertness of the Thai people toward the rapid technological changes occurring in the present era.
This survey serves as an important tool for the government to understand public sentiment, which will be used to plan digital skills development and prepare Thais to handle new technologies more effectively and safely.
In summary, the survey results show that the majority of Thais are prepared and optimistic about the adoption of AI technology, which will be a key factor in driving Thailand's digital economy and society toward future growth.
