NIA Opens Applications for Thai Medical Innovation Projects, Aiming to Connect 4 Innovation Districts for Practical Use
The National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), or NIA, has announced the opening of applications for the "Thailand Medical Innovation Hub – Tech Forum & Hackathon 2026" project to promote the development of medical innovation in Thailand. This project aims to link innovation networks from four key districts to implement technology in the public health system and create societal benefits.
The project focuses on developing medical innovation areas by connecting high-potential innovation districts in Thailand to create an ecosystem conducive to new creations. Collaboration between the public sector, private sector, and academic institutions will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and resources necessary for developing modern medical technologies that meet market demands.
The project's core activities include a Tech Forum and a Hackathon competition, providing a platform for innovators and startups to present new ideas and solutions. Participants will have the opportunity to receive direct mentorship from industry experts. Furthermore, support for accessing funding will be provided to help transform projects into products or services that can be practically used in hospitals and medical facilities nationwide.
Driving the Thailand Medical Innovation Hub project is a significant step toward elevating Thailand's medical industry to an international level.
