Thailand to Host Gastech 2026, a Global Energy Forum
Thailand has been selected to host Gastech 2026, considered one of the world's most important energy conferences and exhibitions. The event will serve as a hub for experts and leaders in the energy industry from all corners of the globe to discuss the future of clean energy and related technologies.
Hosting this event is a significant opportunity for Thailand to demonstrate its potential as an energy hub in the Asian region. The main topic of discussion will be 'energy security,' a major challenge that every country is facing amidst climate change and global economic shifts.
PTT Group, as Thailand's primary energy organization, has prepared strategies to address these challenges, focusing on balancing the supply of energy to meet national demand while reducing carbon dioxide emissions to move toward a low-carbon society in line with international goals.
Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT, emphasized the vision of restructuring Thailand's energy sector to be more sustainable by adopting new technologies to increase efficiency and reduce environmental impact, which will be a key approach in driving the Thai economy in the future.
Therefore, hosting Gastech 2026 is not only about elevating the standards of Thailand's energy industry to gain international recognition, but it is also about preparing Thailand to handle future energy challenges in a stable and sustainable manner.
