AWS Makes History as the First Cloud Provider to Achieve NATO Security Certification
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a significant milestone as the world's first cloud provider to achieve NATO Restricted security certification, covering usage across all member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
This certification marks a major step forward, enabling security agencies and government bodies within NATO member states to utilize AWS cloud technology to store and process highly sensitive data more securely and efficiently, while strictly maintaining international data protection standards.
For Thailand, although we are not a NATO member, this development has a positive impact on global cloud security standards, including for large organizations in Thailand that use AWS services. This is because such rigorous standards help instill confidence in general users that the systems they choose adhere to the highest data protection criteria in the industry.
In the future, the elevation of security standards by global cloud providers will stimulate the advancement of cybersecurity threat protection technology in Thailand, supporting the full-scale digital transformation of both the public and private sectors.
In summary, this achievement by AWS is not only good news for NATO member countries but also serves as proof of a commitment to developing secure cloud technology, which will benefit users worldwide, including Thailand, in raising data security standards over the long term.
