Thailand Prepares to Host Global Digital Health Forum (GDHF) 2026 to Advance Digital Health Systems
The Thai Ministry of Public Health has announced its readiness to host the Global Digital Health Forum (GDHF) in 2026, marking the first time this international conference will be held in the Asian region. The event is scheduled to take place from December 2 to 4, 2026.
The GDHF serves as a vital platform that brings together public health and technology experts from around the world to exchange knowledge. In 2026, the focus will be on shaping the direction of health systems in the digital age, including the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance medical services and make them more accessible to the public.
Thailand's selection as the host reflects the country's commitment to developing digital public health infrastructure and its readiness to serve as a regional hub for medicine and health technology. This presents a great opportunity to build international partnerships to improve the quality of life for citizens.
Beyond the exchange of innovations, this conference will also be a key forum for discussing health data security standards and the appropriate use of technology, ensuring that the transition to digital health systems is secure and sustainably beneficial to patients.
Hosting this event is a significant milestone for Thailand as it fully enters the digital era. It is expected that the outcomes of the conference will lead to the development of new policies and practices that will help modernize the Thai public health system and better prepare it to address future challenges.
