NIA accelerates Thai startups to develop environmental technology through the Climate X 2026 platform
The National Innovation Agency (NIA) is moving forward to drive Thailand toward becoming a full-fledged hub for climate technology, or Climate Tech, with a focus on building an ecosystem that fosters the growth of innovative businesses to address environmental issues, which are currently critical global and national concerns.
The core of this project is to support young entrepreneurs in applying high-potential technology to develop into viable, growing businesses in the market through key activities such as the Climate X 2026 Demo Day, a platform that provides startups with the opportunity to present their work and business plans to investors and business partners.
This initiative not only promotes the economy but also serves as a vital mechanism for pushing Thailand to achieve its sustainability goals. The NIA believes that innovation will be the key to transitioning toward a low-carbon society and creating new opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs on the global stage.
Furthermore, the NIA is focusing on connecting networks between the public sector, the private sector, and educational institutions to build strong collaborations in developing practical environmental solutions, which will enhance the country's long-term competitiveness.
In summary, the Climate X 2026 project marks a significant step that demonstrates Thailand's commitment to using technology as a primary tool to combat climate change, while simultaneously creating new, eco-friendly, and sustainable business opportunities for all Thai people.
