Good news! M82 motorway from Bang Khun Thian to Ban Phaeo opens for trial, free for 2 years
The Ministry of Transport has officially announced the opening of the M82 motorway (Bang Khun Thian–Ban Phaeo section) for public trial. This project spans a total distance of approximately 25 kilometers and aims to facilitate travel for those heading toward the southern region.
During this trial period, motorists can use the service 24 hours a day free of charge for a duration of two years. This initiative is intended to alleviate the financial burden on the public and help reduce traffic congestion on Rama II Road, which serves as a primary route for leaving Bangkok.
The entry and exit points of this motorway have been designed to connect efficiently with the existing transport network. Drivers are advised to check the entry and exit points via the traffic signs installed along the route to ensure driving safety and prevent confusion during this trial period.
The opening of the M82 motorway marks a significant step in the development of Thailand's transport infrastructure, which will help shorten travel times and increase convenience for those who commute along this route regularly. The Ministry of Transport requests that all drivers strictly adhere to traffic laws and signage for the safety of everyone on the road.
