Supreme Administrative Court orders acceptance of 'Sarana' lawsuit regarding removal from NBTC commissioner position
The Supreme Administrative Court has issued an order to accept the lawsuit filed by Mr. Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), concerning his removal from the position of NBTC commissioner following a ruling by the selection committee.
This incident began after a ruling by the selection committee resulted in Mr. Sarana's removal from his position as an NBTC commissioner. Consequently, Mr. Sarana decided to file a lawsuit with the Administrative Court to seek justice, arguing that the process may not have followed the proper procedures.
In its latest order, the Supreme Administrative Court considered that Mr. Sarana is directly affected by the ruling of the aforementioned selection committee. Therefore, Mr. Sarana has the legitimate right to file a lawsuit with the Administrative Court to have the validity of the removal process examined.
Accepting this case is a significant step in the administrative justice process, which will lead to a detailed examination of the case to determine whether the selection committee's ruling was lawful and what impact it will have on the status of the NBTC commissioner.
Both the public and relevant parties are closely following this case, as the NBTC is an agency that plays a crucial role in regulating Thailand's communications and telecommunications sectors, which directly impacts the use of technology and communication for all Thai people.
