Thai deep tech startups continue to grow, preparing to expand into the Japanese market
The National Innovation Agency (NIA) is moving forward with its efforts to drive Thai startups, particularly in the 'deep tech' or advanced technology sector, to successfully grow and expand their businesses into international markets. Most recently, the focus has been on the Japanese market, which is a high-potential market that places great importance on new innovations.
This operation is part of a 'scale-up' strategy to lay the groundwork for strengthening Thailand's target industries. The NIA acts as an intermediary to connect Thai startups with business partners in Japan to exchange knowledge and create opportunities for international business collaboration.
Initial success is already evident, as two Thai startups have successfully reached cooperation agreements or MOUs with leading Japanese companies. This collaboration marks a significant step that will allow Thai startups to learn global working standards and increase their competitiveness in the technology industry.
Such developments reflect that Thai startups are ready and possess potential that is recognized by foreign investors, which will benefit the country's economy in the long term. The NIA remains committed to continuously supporting Thai entrepreneurs in stepping onto the global stage to create sustainable growth for Thailand's innovation industry.
