OKMD points out the way for Thais to survive, coping with an aging society and disruptive technology with 3 new skills
The Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD) has revealed guidelines for preparing Thais to cope with major global changes, both in terms of rapidly advancing technology and the transition into a full-fledged aging society, emphasizing that lifelong learning is the most important factor in adapting to the current situation.
To ensure that Thais can compete and live securely in the future, OKMD proposes the development of three essential core skills: systematic critical thinking, adaptability and resilience to change, and the creative use of digital technology to be applied in work and daily problem-solving.
Beyond individual skills, OKMD is also focused on creating a "learning ecosystem" that is easily accessible to everyone, whether children, youth, or the elderly, by utilizing public learning spaces and online platforms so that all groups can access knowledge and develop their potential at any time according to their individual interests and needs.
This adaptation is considered a significant step for Thailand in preparing to face economic and social challenges, with the hope that building a learning society will help bridge the skills gap and create new opportunities for Thais in an era where technology inevitably plays a major role in every dimension of life.
