AXA Insurance warns of 5 mosquito-borne diseases during the rainy season and recommends health planning
During Thailand's rainy season, characterized by frequent rainfall and high humidity, Aedes mosquitoes breed rapidly, which in turn increases the risk of outbreaks of mosquito-borne diseases. Recently, AXA Insurance Thailand issued a warning urging the public and all families to exercise extra caution and take special care of their household members' health.
According to AXA, there are five major mosquito-borne diseases that require vigilance: dengue fever, chikungunya, Zika virus infection, Japanese encephalitis, and malaria. These diseases can impact health and lead to unexpected medical expenses.
The company emphasizes that the public should regularly eliminate mosquito breeding grounds around the home, such as containers with stagnant water, to reduce the number of disease-carrying mosquitoes. Additionally, it recommends that families plan for their health in advance to prepare for potential costs if a family member falls ill.
Preparing by maintaining good hygiene and having an appropriate health insurance plan will help every family get through this rainy season with more peace of mind and safety. If members of the public experience abnormal symptoms, such as high fever, headaches, or rashes, they should see a doctor immediately for timely diagnosis and treatment.
