WD Thailand Partners with Chulalongkorn University to Sign MOU on Developing Data Storage Technology and Deep Tech Talent
Western Digital (WD) Thailand has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chulalongkorn University to elevate the development of future data storage technology, focusing on creating innovations that will support data growth in the digital age.
The primary goal of this collaboration is to exchange knowledge and resources between the private sector and academia to promote research and development in advanced technology, which will enable Thailand to better keep pace with global technological changes.
Beyond technology, both parties are also prioritizing the development of Thai talent, particularly in the Deep Tech industry—a skill set currently in high demand in the labor market—to prepare students and researchers to apply their knowledge in real-world work environments.
This project marks a significant step in building an innovation ecosystem in Thailand through the support of a world-leading company like WD, which will provide opportunities for the new generation to learn about modern, internationally standardized data storage technology.
