Thai government moves forward with negotiations to host world-class music festival 'Tomorrowland' in Thailand later this year
The Minister of Tourism and Sports, along with the Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has traveled to Belgium to hold discussions with executives from Tomorrowland Inc., with the key objective of pushing for Thailand to host the world-class music festival, Tomorrowland, later this year.
This negotiation is part of the government's tourism strategy, which aims to elevate Thailand into a 'Global Festival Destination' to attract more tourists from all corners of the world to experience entertainment in Thailand.
If the negotiations are successful, Tomorrowland will become one of the key activities to help stimulate the economy and tourism during the year-end period, which is Thailand's high season. It is expected that this will generate revenue for the country and build Thailand's reputation as the entertainment hub of the Asian region.
At present, both parties are in the process of discussing the details and feasibility of hosting the event. The Thai government is fully prepared to support this event to ensure that Thailand has sufficient potential to accommodate tourists and music fans from around the world who will travel to attend.
