Government moves forward with 'Thailand Zero Dropout Plus' project, aiming to bring Thai children back into the education system
The Thai government has announced the continued implementation of the 'Thailand Zero Dropout Plus' policy to address the issue of children and youth dropping out of the education system. This is considered a vital mission in developing the country's human resources to be high-quality and prepared for future growth.
The Prime Minister emphasized that education is the most important foundation for economic and social development. Children dropping out of the education system not only affects the children themselves but also impacts the country as a whole. Therefore, the government is committed to bringing as many of these children as possible back into the learning system.
The project focuses on proactive work through the integration of cooperation from various agencies to track and assist children who lack educational opportunities. Technology and databases are being utilized to identify the individuals and the areas where these children reside, ensuring that support is provided accurately and promptly.
In addition to tracking children back to school, this project also prioritizes creating an environment conducive to learning, as well as providing scholarships and necessary equipment to reduce the financial burden on parents and create incentives for children to return and complete their basic education.
The conclusion of this policy is to create equal opportunities for all Thai youth. The government is confident that if the problem of children dropping out of the education system can be successfully resolved, it will lay a strong foundation for the country to move toward sustainable international competitiveness.
